Fire alarm system

An automatic fire alarm system is designed to detect the unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion. In general, a fire alarm system is classified as either conventional or analogue addressable fire alarm. Automatic fire alarm systems are intended to notify the building occupants to evacuate in the event of a fire or other emergency, report the event to an off-premises location in order to summon emergency services, and to prepare the structure and associated systems to control the spread of fire and smoke. Analog addressable devices are individually identified with an address (number) on a loop of wiring. The control panel communicates with each device in turn and each device reports back with an analog value based upon how much smoke or heat is present.
A conventional system employs one or more initiating circuits, connected to sensors wired in parallel. These sensors are devised to decrease the circuits resistance when the environmental influence on any sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold. The main drawback with conventional panels is that one cannot tell which device has been activated within a circuit. The fire may be in one small room, but as far as emergency responders can tell, a fire could exist anywhere within a zone.

We offer professional support while designing and installation of the correct fire alarm solution.
