Intruder and access control system

Print

A security alarm is a system designed to detect intrusion – unauthorized entry – into a building or area. Security alarms are used in residential, commercial, industrial, and military properties for protection against burglary or property damage, as well as personal protection against intruders. Some alarm systems serve a single purpose of burglary protection, but combination systems provide both fire and intrusion protection.

In the fields of physical security and information security, access control is the selective restriction of access to a place or other resource. Access control systems are physical or electronic systems which are designed to control who has access to a network. The most simple example of a physical access control system is a door which can be locked, limiting people to one side of the door or the other.
